Watching this was amazing. Amy is a super talented copywriter, and it shows. The notes showed she was really prepared. So good!

I do love a good event and am happy to prepare a talk for your conference on the following subjects:
- Copywriting – the practical aspects of what to change in your content to make it more engaging
- How to tell an engaging story (drawing on my background as a trained screenwriter)
- Content marketing – generating content topics to attract your target market
- Using humour to make your marketing come alive – how to write comedy sketches to promote your business
A sample of previous talks I’ve done around the world…
SXSW, Austin, Texas on the subject of: A Funny Taboo: The Art of LOL for Business Women
Humour in marketing works. The number one reason people engage with a video online is down to humour and the second biggest reason of sharing content across social media is because it is funny.
So why aren’t more women taking this approach?
During the 2013 SXSW Interactive conference I debuted my first ever AmyTV. An online video series providing a light-hearted look at content-writing techniques for businesses. It was a break from my usual style of content marketing in that it used comedy to deliver the tips and to promote what I do as a copywriter and content trainer. And it’s because of this series that I was invited from 3,300 applicants to talk at SXSW 2014 about whether it’s a good idea for women to use humour in their marketing, and if so, how they can get started.
Definitely thought Amy had the strongest portion. Makes me realize we need a copywriter. Sigh.

Call-to-Action Conference, Vancouver, Canada: Copywriting Panel (with live rewrites)
I was part of a 3 person panel with Joanna Wiebe from Copyhackers and Demian Farnsworth from Copyblogger Media.
We prepared rewritten copy for 2 landing pages submitted by attendees and walked through the changes live, explaining how we would make the content more engaging.
I’ve been asked to return for the next conference to present a full copywriting session for attendees.
Remarkable copy ideas. Loved it!
Very talented copywriter. Love what she did with both samples.
I want to hire amy now!
Being a Business Celebrity Marketing Event, Poole, UK
I hosted a session on how to write more specific copy to engage an audience. Aimed at business owners, coaches and consultants who were not marketing experts but were learning how to write their own web content and marketing copy.
Copywriting for social media with Andrea Vahl, London, UK
Facebook legend Andrea Vahl hosted a workshop in London about the latest social media tactics. I provided a copywriting portion to help people write engaging and high-converting updates:
