Boy oh boy was there a thunderstorm near me last night!
I love storms but they frightle me (yes frightle is a word – ask Michael Martine. His beard used to frightle me).
Couple that with the splinter up my nostril from putting together a pine chest yesterday (don’t ask) and you have one heck of a sleepless night.
I’m saying it’s a splinter – it’s probably a speck of wood dust but either way, I’m sitting writing this with toilet roll stuffed up one streaming nostril, one eye squished shut like a newborn gerbil and wearing my dressing gown because after writing a negotiating email for Malc’s biz, I’ve only just managed to climb out of bed.
There is a very good reason I do not work in an office.
True story, but when I did work in an office, the day I started wearing shoes I got promoted… Go figure.
Writer? Write For Your Biz? You Need To Know This
A few weeks ago Carol Tice contacted me on Twitter to do a webinar about writing a sales page (which is tomorrow – you should definitely register for it).
The name was familiar and looking on her site, her photo was even more familiar, but it was only from digging around that I realised Carol was one of those awesome freelance writers I remember watching and thinking she was out there rocking it (I’m talking 6 figures rocking it).
What’s more, she describes me as a “Crack Copywriter” and I keep mis-reading it as “Copywriter Crack” which makes me think of really strong coffee.
Carol is like some kind of writing machine, which would be impressive enough (and envy-inducing) but that’s not all.
She’s got this whole world which is designed to help freelance writers make a better living (I love that).
And it’s called the Writer’s Den, which is doubly cool because it reminds me of hiding under a blanket over 2 chairs with my brother on rainy days (you can still build dens at 28 you know).
If you are a writer and want to know how to make more money freelancing check out the crazy income-boosting tips and resources you can get from the Den. And do it before October 28th (this Friday)
Because she’s nearly at capacity for her 250 members – yes this thing is crazy popular.
Sales Page Webinar Tomorrow (Yikes!)
Now, if on the other hand you just love me, follow me wherever I go and want to check out this phenomenal webinar I will be doing with the lovely Carol tomorrow all about getting your flipping Sales Page DONE! then you need to register.
If you’re a member of the Writer’s Den, the webinar is free and to non-members it is $36. (Or you can register for a month at $25 and take advantage of all the Den’s offerings and archives for that month AND get access to the webinar…no-brain-er).
See you there!
