As you might know Write With Influence is open and in full swing for registering founding members.
New members are wandering the halls, grabbing templates and tutorials and putting them to work already. It’s like back-to-school without the backache from an overloaded rucksack (why were text books always so blooming huge?!)
So, I’ve been getting a few questions about the course and I thought I’d answer them here in case any had crossed your mind. Though if you don’t see the answer to a question you have just hit reply to this email and ask – I love getting emails!

Dear Amy…
“Can I use Write With Influence to write a sales page? I’m not talking an icky, nauseating pushy sales page, just one that sells what I do, but still lets me face myself in the mirror each morning, Yours in search of sales, an authentic business owner.”
Dear authentic business owner…
Absolutely. The system you use in Write With Influence is the same process I used to write sales pages for a variety of clients. Clients with all different kinds of personalities who needed to stay true to those personalities even when they sold products. The main template currently available (more are being added for writing emails, brochures etc) is a solid structure that can be used as a sales page in that all the information about the product is on the page, you use benefits to make a strong sales argument and then guide the reader to your call to action which can be a buy button.

Dear Amy…
“I hear what you say about people needing to sell themselves, but I don’t want to necessarily sell a specific product (I’m a coach), I want to make my services attractive to potential clients, so here’s my question, can I use Write With Influence to create strong web content pages, like a home page, or page about my services? Yours sincerely (I really mean it, I am super sincere), a coach with integrity”
Dear coach with integrity…
I hear you! The idea of ‘selling’ can get a bit confusing can’t it? We’re made to think that selling only happens when we have a specific product for sale, like during a launch. The thing is, if you’re in business, you’re ‘selling’ all the time. For example as a coach, when a potential client visits your site, you want to sell the idea of working with you, or sell the idea of downloading your free report, or sell the idea of getting in touch for a free consultation.
That’s why, although the course can help you write sales pages, it’s not limited to that medium. Whenever you need to promote an idea, event, webinar, free download to market your business, you can use the Write With Influence techniques to help. So in short, you can use the tutorials to write a great headline for your services page and then outline all the compelling reasons why someone should hire you as their coach, or find out more about you.
Want to spiff up your web content with more persuasive copy? You’ve got it.
Dear Amy…
“I’ll be honest, I’m a bit wary of commitment. I’m the type of person who broke out in sweats switching from a pay as you go phone to a contract. I don’t even have a dog or a cat… and I change my mind about my favourite colour all the time. What am I actually committing to if I join? Yours anxiously, a writer in need of flexibility…”
Dear Writer,
I am like you. Did you ever read Steven Jackson’s ‘choose your own adventure’ books? I did, and I was the kid that kept my fingers in separate pages so I could go back and explore all of the adventure. In other words I am a commitment-phobe also. I like freedom and flexibility and I designed the course with people like me in mind (selfish I know 🙂 ). So here’s the thing, for this round of members it’s a one-off, accessible course. And then that’s it. No upsells, no ongoing monthly membership fees, just one and done.
?It’s like topping up your pay as you go phone, only the credit never runs out. Flexibility AND service – give it to me! Hopefully that allays some of your anxieties. Stay flexible my dear.
Want a flexible resource that fits into your lifestyle? No problem.
Dear Amy…
“My plate is FULL! And I’m not talking about in an amazing All-day Breakfast kind of way, I’m talking about a million things crammed onto my to do list. I have to prioritise. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely want to improve my persuasive writing skills, I just don’t have time to do it now. So, what if I wait a bit? Yours hungrily waiting for an emptier plate, a full freelancer…”
Dear Full Freelancer
How is it those plates fill up without us looking? I’m certain elves come in at night and add things to my to-do list, like a reversal of the elves who helped the shoemakers… never mind.
Here’s what you need to know – once you’re in, you’re in. And there’s no pressure to consume it all in a set amount of time. So you can sign up today, come back in a month or so and it will be waiting for you (it will also have more content and templates by then as we’re constantly adding new tutorials). If you wait, can’t guarantee you’ll get the benefits of a founding member (personalised feedback, low-cost and a one-off access fee instead of a membership). This is the time to get the best deal and when you do have time to work on your writing skills, Write With Influence will be there.
Phew!
Hopefully you found that useful if those questions applied to your situation. I’m signing off for the day and going for a walk but I’ll be back shortly. Remember, if you do have a question, hit the comments and I’ll answer it for you personally.
