Jealousy is a pretty ugly emotion. It’s destructive, hurtful and can create some bitter actions that people will regret.
But envy… envy is like the seductive, better looking sibling to jealousy. It still has the urge that says:
Oooh, I really want that…
But unlike jealousy, it doesn’t lose its cool.
Instead it makes a plan.
Envy spurs people into action which is why it’s a powerful technique to apply to your copywriting, as long as you do it properly. So how would you use it?
By showing your customer that other people have what they want AND by showing them that you can help them get there.
