Tools and techniques are sexy.
One day it’s webinars, no now it’s podcasts, wait, infographics are in.
All of them promise businesses the same thing: more leads, more visibility, more sales, more fans, more everything.
It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement, and even easier to feel you’re being left behind if you don’t get involved.
The fanfare is misleading.
I’m not saying these techniques don’t work, I’m saying that most of them don’t impress upon you the 3 things you need to have even a chance of being successful with the latest marketing trend:
-
A Great Product
-
Folks Who Want It
-
Strong Copywriting
Without these, it really doesn’t matter how shiny your infographic is, or how often you publish your online radio show, it’s not going to work.
ALL marketing will fail without these 3 things – Tweet this to show you’re ahead of the crowd.
There is no marketing technique or tool that you can use if your product is poor, there’s no demand for it and you can’t communicate the benefits of what you offer.
Now, I’m going to assume that you have a strong product, that you believe in, that people want.
