Life is funny, I don’t know whether I believe in fate, but I do sometimes feel the universe sends us little signals – or perhaps we just end up seeing what we want…
I was sending my brother a text this week about my latest story rejected, and as I typed in “rejected” the predictive text on my phone suggested “selected”… I took it as my phone having a little laugh at my expense. I didn’t mind, I had planned to trade it in and have its mocking little body stripped down and sold for parts.
Only, I’m going to hold off getting a new one for a little while; I think it perhaps knew something I didn’t as today, only two days later, I received my first ever acceptance letter for one of my short stories.
I know it’s only a small step, but it feels like it’s in the right direction…

Yes, stripping down that phone is a great response. Even better, congrats, congrats on the acceptance! That’s a fantastic accomplishment!
